Leeming Dental Clinic is now open.
The following steps are required to ensure your experience is as seamless as possible. We ask that you follow the procedure to ensure everyone’s safety
Please call to make your appointment as visits to the Practice are by-appointment-only.
A trained member of staff will complete an initial pre-appointment screening over the phone to include the following questions:
* Any history of a new continuous cough
* High temperature or fever
* Loss or change in your sense of smell or taste
* Other relevant questions
Following the initial screening, you may require further screening from one of our dentists to determine how best to safely provide your care. If it is determined that it is safe for you to visit, an appointment will be offered.
Due to the Standard Operating Procedure, after the aerosol producing procedure the surgery must be left for 1 hour, and therefore our capacity for seeing the patients has reduced.
There will be limited access to the toilet. Please brush your teeth and use the bathroom BEFORE coming You MUST wear a face covering or a face mask to be admitted into the Practice. Please do not bring any items that are not necessary for your appointment e.g. magazines, electronic tablets etc.
We are encouraging patients to attend their appointments alone unless you are accompanying a vulnerable child or adult as there is LIMITED seating capacity.
We appreciate promptness however please do not arrive earlier than 5 minutes before your appointment. If you are very early, you will be asked to wait in your vehicle or may have to wait in the car. We encourage payments using a credit or debit cards ONLY.
Following the statement made by the Government about the resumption of dental services from 8th June, we have received many calls from patients requesting appointments. We at Leeming Dental Clinic, along with the rest of the profession are waiting for further guidance from the Chief Dental Officer to ensure that when we resume services it is in a manner in which our patients and staff are safe.
Whilst we work through the detail surrounding opening our practice to our patients we are unable to perform any dental procedures which involve the spread of an aerosol. Thus we kindly request that you only contact the practice in order to access the existing triage service in the event of a significant dental emergency.
We will be maintaining a telephone service for advice and for onward referral of emergencies as required.
Dental emergencies include:
– Severe pain for over 48 hours
– Facial Swelling
– Trauma or uncontrolled bleeding
Now is a challenging time for all of us, and we want to reassure you that we are taking all the necessary steps to protect your safety, your family’s safety and the safety of our practice team.
Based on the advice given by our Prime Minister announcement, we regret to inform you that the dental practice will be opening an emergency only policy.
We will endeavour to resume normal service week beginning 13th April 2020, although this may also be subject to change depending on how the situation unfolds.
If you already have an appointment scheduled upto the 11th April, a member of our team will be in touch to rearrange it.
Should you require treatment for dental pain or discomfort we have a dental team on site operating normal practice hours.
All routine treatment is to be postponed.We look forward to the day when normality can return and we can welcome you bank into the practice.
